The payment provider Worldline can be used with the Pronamic Pay plugin to receive payments via WordPress. For this, Pronamic Pay uses the Worldline Hosted Checkout integration.
Before you begin: It is important that your Worldline account is accepted and activated, and that you have access to the Back Office or Merchant Portal before starting the configuration.
Connect Worldline with Pronamic Pay
Step-by-step guide to connecting Worldline with the Pronamic Pay plugin.
- Install Pronamic Pay
Install the Pronamic Pay plugin by following the Pronamic Pay – Getting Started guide. After activating the plugin, a configuration for Worldline can be created.
- Add a new configuration for Worldline
Go to WordPress admin » Pay » Configurations and click the Add New button at the top of the page. Give the configuration a name, for example, “Worldline Hosted Checkout (test)”.
- Choose Worldline as the payment provider
Select “Worldline – Direct – Hosted Checkout – Test” from the dropdown list in the payment provider field. This option allows you to fully test the configuration before setting up the live configuration later.
- Enter the Merchant ID (PSPID) for the test environment
You can find the Merchant ID in the Merchant Portal of your Worldline account.
- Enter the API key and API secret for the test environment
You can find the API key and API secret in the Merchant Portal or the Back Office of your Worldline account.
- Publish the new configuration
After entering the Merchant ID, API key, and API secret, save the configuration using the Publish button so you can test it in the next step.
- Test the configuration
You can test the configuration via the Test box. Choose a payment method, enter an amount, and click the Test button to start a payment. Depending on the information entered, this will be a test payment or a real payment. You will be redirected to the Worldline hosted checkout page to confirm the payment.
- Create a new payment configuration for the live environment
Once you have successfully tested the test configuration, you can create a new configuration. Give it a name like “Worldline Hosted Checkout (live)”.
Now select “Worldline – Direct – Hosted Checkout” from the list of payment providers. This activates the connection with the Worldline live environment to receive actual payments. - Enter live environment details
Repeat steps 4, 5, 6, and 7 using the Merchant ID, API key, and API secret from the live environment and save the configuration. Test the configuration once more.
- Use Worldline in a supported e-commerce plugin
Congratulations, the configuration has been successfully added! You can now set the payment configuration with the live environment connection in a supported e-commerce plugin. For example, you can link Pronamic Pay to WooCommerce or consult the Getting Started guide for instructions on linking the configuration to other WordPress e-commerce plugins.
Tip: In the Pronamic Pay plugin settings, you can set the Worldline live environment configuration as the default gateway. This configuration will then be set as the default for supported e-commerce plugins.
