How do you link Pronamic Pay to Give?

In this manual we describe the connection of the Pronamic Pay plugin with Give.

Give iDEAL payment method setup

To add a new payment method to the Give donation form, follow the steps below:

1. In the WordPress dashboard, go to Donations » Settings.
2. Go to the tab Payment Gateways.
3. Activate the desired payment methods on this overview page. This can be done by selecting the checkbox behind the relevant payment method.
4. If desired, enter an alternative description by changing the label field. This name will be used for the payment method during checkout.
5. Indicate a default payment method by selecting the radio button for that payment method.
6. The order of payment options can be changed by dragging the gateways using the hamburger icon (three horizontal lines) at the beginning of the row.
7. Save the changes.

Change payment configuration and transaction description

The configuration and transaction description can be changed per payment method. By default, these are automatically filled with regular values.

1. Go back to the page Donations » Settings.
2. Go to the tab Payment Gateways.
3. Select the payment method to be changed under the tabs, for example “iDEAL”.
4. If necessary, change the configuration to be used by selecting it from the drop-down list.
5. If desired, change the transaction description by changing the default value in the input field.
   It is recommended to use the tag “{donation_id}” in the description. Based on this unique number, the transaction can easily be related to your payment overview at the payment provider.
6. Save the changes.

The configuration is complete and the payment methods are now visible at checkout via a Give donation form.
