Step-by-step guide to connect Mollie with the Pronamic Pay plugin.
Install the Pronamic Pay plugin by following the Pronamic Pay – Getting Started manual. After activating the plugin you are able to create a configuration for Mollie.
Navigate to WordPress admin » Pay » Configurations and create a new configuration. Give your configuration a title like "Mollie - [website profile number]"
Select “Mollie” from the drop-down list at the field with payment providers.
By default, Test mode is selected. To be able to fully test the configuration, we recommend that you first keep the test mode active.
You can find Mollie's API-keys in the Mollie dashboard. For each website profile you have created there (via Settings » Website Profiles) two API keys are available: one test and live API key. You can find the API keys at Mollie via the menu Developers » API-Keys. Enter the test API key to test payments without having to make an actual payment.
After filling in the API key you have to save the configuration via the button Publish, to be able to test it in the next step.
Through the frame Test the configuration can be tested. Choose a payment method, enter an amount and click the button Test to initiate a payment. Depending on the API key entered, this is either a test payment or a real payment. You will be redirected to complete the payment.
If no payment method has yet been selected, a redirection will take place to a Mollie selection screen with all payment methods that have been activated for the Mollie account.
To complete the configuration, replace the completed test API-key with the live API-key of the website profile (step 4).
Press the button To update in the frame Publish to save the settings. You can now receive payments via Mollie on your WordPress website.
Congratulations, your configuration is successfully setup! You now can connect the configuration with a supported e-commerce plugin. For example, you can Connect Pronamic Pay to WooCommerce or check the Getting Started manual for instructions on connecting the configuration to other WordPress e-commerce plugins.
The integration with Mollie within Pronamic Pay supports recurring payments for subscriptions or donations, for example. You can read more about it in our manual Recurring payments with Pronamic Pay.
